Description:

Brilliant! Love it! Fingers crossed that we get an expanded light novel version soon. And an anime adaption. And manga series. And live action British TV series. And then a less good but still funny version made for Americans.

Unfortunately, the author has expressed how difficult it would be to turn Evil Lord into a light novel series because of how sci-fi series aren’t that popular in japan, and how difficult it would be to find an illustrator capable of drawing all the sci-fi elements.
So we can only hope. 🙂

The whole web-novel is basically Warhammer 40k but less gory or has WH40K vibes to it. I guess if an illustrator would make the art for this, WH40k would be the best foundation for certain designs e.g Ships and overall atmosphere and theme of planets etc.

This other scifi-themed isekai WN, I Woke Up Piloting the Strongest Starship, so I Became a Space Mercenary/Mezametara Saikyou Soubi to Uchuusen Mochidattanode, Ikkodate Mezashite Youhei to Shite Jiyu ni Ikitai was able to get a LN and manga publication.

So it’s not entirely impossible for this series to get an LN adaptation someday (provided the parties involved are willing to try their best).

Publishers typically dislike sci-fi across the board even when it’s insanely popular. It’s the world over and not just specific to any individual region. Publishers are business people and the technical complexities usually go over their head. If they can’t understand it then they can’t tell if it’s good or not. Safer to stay away.

Visualizing the battles and overall chapters. Im literally getting Warhammer 40k vibes.
1. Ship battles involves thousands upon thousands of ships with similar numbers being destroyed “cough” WH40k
2. Capital of the Empire is basically Terra of The Imperium of Man
3.The atmosphere feels like WH40k with reasons being Weapons technology seems to advance faster than social and economic research and whilst the overall technology is advance, the infrastructure and ships have basically medieval designs e.g WH40k structures and ships.
4.and of course, THE KNIGHTS which are basically the SPACE MARINES of WH40k, genetically enhanced and bred for war.
Nothing bad with it having WH40k vibes.. i quite like it tho.
Tbh im not gonna even be surprised if the author was slightly inspired by the Warhammer 40k universe.
